Descripción
Primer G is a synthetic resin-based primer that, once applied, dries forming an elastic, compact and shiny film. This film consolidates surfaces, if necessary, and improves the adhesion of plasters, paints, wallpaper adhesives, glues, tile adhesives and plaster mortars.
CHARACTERISTICS
- The Primer G primer, on a plaster or cement surface, prevents the chemical reaction between the sulphates of the plaster and the aluminates of the cement which, in the presence of humidity, tend to form a salt, called ettringite, causing the separation of the two. items
- In the wallpapering operation, the application of Primer G on the wall reduces adhesive consumption and facilitates the removal of the covering.
- When placing plasters by spraying, Primer G prevents the support from absorbing water quickly, prolongs the workability time and prevents the formation of cracks due to shrinkage.
- When placing self-leveling mortars, Primer G reduces the formation of bubbles and prevents drying too quickly, thus promoting self-leveling.
- Primer G is not flammable and, therefore, can be used in closed and unventilated places, without taking any precautions.
IMPORTANT NOTICES
- Primer G should not be considered as a waterproofing agent for plaster, although it does considerably reduce its porosity and absorption.
- Do not use Primer G for magnesium supports.
- Do not use outdoors or in the presence of rising humidity.
- Do not apply Primer G in such quantities that a film forms; Dilute it with water according to the absorption of the support.
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
- For the treatment of plaster surfaces, before laying ceramic tiles.
- As an anchor layer for plaster-based projected plasters.
- To improve the adhesion of the plaster layer on cementitious or anhydrite surfaces, plaster, asphalt, ceramic or marble.
- To regulate the absorption of cementitious or plaster surfaces.
Some application examples
- Preparation of cementitious surfaces for the application of self-leveling or thixotropic plasters.
- Between layers of plaster, when the first one is perfectly dry.
- On plaster plaster, before plastering with cementitious products.
- On anhydrite supports, before overlaying cementitious products.
- On cementitious plasters, before plastering with gypsum-based products.
- On plaster walls, as a fixing base for wallpaper adhesive.
- Before laying ceramic tiles with cementitious adhesives, on:
- plaster or projected plaster
- prefabricated gypsum panels
- brick-plaster panels
- anhydrite screeds
- Treatment of plaster walls, chipboard, fiber cement, cellular concrete blocks, plaster, etc., before wallpapering or painting.
CONSUMPTION
- The consumption of Primer G depends on the porosity and absorption of the surface.
- Normal consumption is between 0.1 and 0.2 kg/m2.
