Descripción

FF197 is a high quality one-component polyurethane foam, which expands and hardens with the humidity of the air and the support. It has been specially designed for the static joints of the building that must have fire resistance (up to 4 hours) and be hermetic to smoke and gases. Its use is suitable on all supports used in construction. This spray uses an innovative "2 in 1" system that allows it to be applied manually or using an aerosol gun.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • PV (according to French regulations) with fire resistance classification up to 4 hours in accordance with EN 13501-2.
  • Fireproof, smoke and gas tight.
  • Excellent dimensional stability.
  • "2 in 1": manual or gun use.
  • It can be painted or covered with a plaster finish.

Preparation

  • Apply FF197 at an ambient temperature between +5 °C and + 35 °C. The aerosol must be at a temperature between +10 °C and +30 °C.
  • The supports must be solid and free of dust and grease.
  • Wet the adhesion surfaces to obtain a foam with a homogeneous cell structure and faster hardening.

Application Tips

  • To fill cavities we recommend applying the product manually; If more precise use of the foam is required, the spray can be screwed onto an applicator gun.

Manual application

  • Remove the protection from the top of the spray.
  • Follow the instructions that indicate how to place the cannula.
  • Lightly press the valve to extract the foam; You can regulate the amount of foam extracted by operating the valve lever with greater or lesser force.
  • Fill the cavities 50% to allow for foam expansion.
  • For larger cavities (more than 5 cm deep), it is preferable to apply the foam in several layers and humidify between each layer (wait 30 minutes between each layer).

Spray application

  • Remove the protection from the top of the spray.
  • Screw the spray onto the gun all the way.
  • You can measure the amount of foam ejected by lightly pressing the trigger of the gun until you obtain the desired amount.
  • Fill cavities 80% to allow room for foam expansion.
  • For larger cavities (more than 5 cm deep), it is preferable.
  • Apply the foam in several coats and moisten between each coat (wait 30 minutes between each coat).

Health and safety precautions

  • Work only in ventilated places. Do not smoke. Do not use the product near an ignition source. Protect your eyes with safety glasses and wear protective clothing and gloves.
  • See a doctor if the product comes into contact with the skin or eyes. Keep the product away from children.
  • For more information consult the product Safety Data Sheet, available on our website or upon request.

Cleaning

  • After use, quickly clean the valve and applicator (for manual use) or the outside of the gun and its nozzle (for gun use) with illbruck AA290 cleaner.
  • Hardened foam can only be removed with mechanical means (cutter, sanding with sandpaper,...). Therefore, we advise you to protect the floor and work areas with a plastic sheet or paper.

Warranty

  • Nullifire FF197 has passed the tests of the European certification test EN 1366-4:2006.
  • Nullifire FF197 prevents the penetration of flames, smoke and toxic gases. Nullifire FF197 is used to make fire-resistant joints for up to 4 hours, for joints between 5 and 40 mm wide, in slab and plate (cf EFECTIS classification PV in accordance with standard 13501-2).

* Note: The EFECTIS tests have been carried out in a field of application in static concrete/concrete joints up to 7.5%. In works controlled by a Supervision Office, you must check and validate the use of this product in the intended application.
